What we collect
When you ask for a site we collect what you type into the form (business name, what you do, area, phone, email) and any logo or photos you add, with the descriptions you write for them. We also see your IP address when you send the form, to stop spam.
With the form we also send how you found us, so we can tell which links bring people here: the name of the site that linked to us (not the page), the first page you opened here, and any referral, partner or campaign code in the link you followed. Your browser keeps this only while the tab is open, in no cookie and with no ID, and it reaches us only if you send the form.
What we do with it
- We use it to build and review your site. The people at Kief Studio who do that can see it.
- It is kept in Kief Studio's own systems, on servers we run. We do not sell it, and there are no advertising trackers on this site.
- We remove location and camera details from your photos before we keep them.
- Your phone number and business details are put on your public site. Your email address is not; it is used only to send you messages from your site's contact form and to contact you about your site.
Counting visits
We count visits to this site with our own analytics, which runs on our servers. It sets no cookies and keeps no ID beyond the open browser tab. Browsers that ask not to be tracked are not counted.
Messages from your site's contact form
When a visitor uses the contact form on your site, we email the message to you. We do not keep a copy of the message. We keep a count of how many messages a site receives, without their contents. To stop spam, a site gets at most 20 messages a day, and messages full of links are not passed on.
Reporting a site
If you report a site, we keep what you write and, if you give it, your email address, so we can look into it and ask you about it. We don't share your email with the site's owner.
How long we keep it
When you send the form, we email you a link to confirm it. If you don't confirm within 48 hours, we delete the request and the files you uploaded. Once you confirm, we keep your details and files while your site is up, because we need them to rebuild it. If you ask us to take your site down, we delete the files you uploaded within 30 days.
Your choices
You can ask us to change or remove your site and your details at any time at kief.studio/contact.
